This is an introductory course on the theory of queueing systems and networks, with applications to service systems, computer systems, and manufacturing. The course will expose students to both classical and modern application of queueing theory, and aims to equip students with the basic methodological tools for system performance analysis and policy design.
Basic probability theory and stochastic processes. PhD students (Booth and Non-Booth) only. Non-Booth master's students require instructor permission: strict.
